About Summer Serve
Our Summer Serve program allows college-age students to intern alongside church-planting teams overseas. Interns will assist our local partners in a variety of ways including outreach, administration, teaching, and discipleship. All Summer Serve applicants will complete a 7-session training course in advance of their deployment to the field.

Live and work alongside a team in Chiang Mai as you engage in a variety of tasks and roles based on your skill-set and interests. Help with outreach to university students out of a cafe owned and run by the mission agency. You will be challenged to deepen your walk as a disciple as you serve alongside an experienced and passionate team of missionaries.

As a Mission Recon Specialist, your goal is to help locate and make contact with Unreached Unengaged People Groups in various countries and cities across You will find out where they live, learn about their culture, discern their literacy, share the gospel, develop ministry strategies, become prayer warriors for these groups and find national partners. You will play a key part in entry into the missionary task, cultivating gospel access among the least reached as you travel to several European cities to do missions recon.

Members of the Kobe Summer 2024 Team will come alongside IMB Kobe Team Members and the local church body to share the light of Christ in this city. You will live in College Town (Gakuentoshi), an area of West Kobe with over 5 universities within a 10-minute walking distance. You will be predominately focused on reaching out to students at those universities, with opportunities to invest in local middle/high schoolers as well.

Travel to five different cities, visiting teams who are engaging those with little to no access to the Good News. In each place you will learn about what local teams are doing, spend time prayer-walking, and engage with locals as possible. Cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ as you discover His heart for these people and learn from long-term workers with decades of field experience.

DM TEAMS
DM (Diaspora Mission) Teams consist of 3-5 individuals who will live and minister in gateway cities across the U.S. and Canada, where there are large concentrations of Unreached People Groups. After a week of training in Nashville, they are deployed to major urban areas with the assignment of learning how to strategically engage diaspora communities that are least-reached.

Diaspora is a word found in the New Testament. It means "scattering" or "scattered". It refers to people who have been "scattered" from their home countries and have taken up residence in a new land. Many have come as refugees and asylum-seekers, hoping to find safety from war, persecution, or terrorism. Thousands more are young people who have come to study as students.
