The nations are on the move! Nearly half of all international migrants call Europe and North America home. We have seen unprecedented numbers of people coming to the US for many reasons. From economic opportunity to religious freedom to escaping war and violence, the people of the world are here in our cities and communities. How will the church respond to these ever-increasing numbers of our foreign-born neighbors? How are we to view this situation? As Christian, how are we to engage? This workshop is designed to help people in your church understand the opportunities that exist in reaching the “scattered” (diaspora) who we now live alongside.

Building a Ministry to Refugees Workshop
The US has historically been a refugee-friendly country. While it does not lead the world in the number of refugees it takes in, it still is a major destination for refugee resettlement. Many of these refugees are coming to our land from nations where the gospel is not openly or freely proclaimed. Many of these individuals and families are members of unreached people groups. They did not choose to leave their homeland. That is why they are classified as refugees. They have been forced out of their countries by war, violence, persecution, and terror. They now live within range of gospel-preaching churches and vibrant Christian communities. Churches are looking for ways to be equipped to serve refugees and build relationships so the gospel can be shared. Thai workshop trains churches on how to build ministry to refugees.
Custom Training Events
Let us come to you! We want to come alongside local churches and help them mobilize for the mission! The list of training topics can be geared for high school or college students, young adults, a missions team or missions ministry, a leadership team, or even church wide. The following training topics can be delivered as a single lesson, as part of a weekend or 2-day training intensive, or even over 3-5 days as part of a training course. Pastors and church leaders can also use the list below as a menu and select multiple topics as modules in a special training curriculum that they assemble to meet their unique needs.
